According to Vietnamese beliefs, “trống đồng” is a spiritual object because there was a Bronze god claiming himself to be the god of the bronze drum who helped many Vietnamese dynasties such as Hung Kings, the Ly, the Tran dynasties defeat their enemies.
“Trống đồng” were used in religious ceremonies, festivals, and wars when the tribal leader called on their people to gather.
“Trống đồng” often belongs to the leaders and was a symbol of power.
It was also considered as a valuable asset which was buried together with the owner.
