Dear VLS Team, I would like to thank you very much for the online language course. My teacher Cô Lai (a thousand thanks to Cô Lai) always tries so hard to make the lessons warm, individual and on a very high level. She is doing a great job!!I was born in Germany, but my parents are from Vietnam. I see myself as a „German-Vietnamese“ and sometimes it is difficult to be in touch with my own roots as an over-seas Vietnamese, when one is surrounded by a very different mainstream society, like Germany.
However, the key for every culture is the language, especially the mother tongue. I myself and many of my friends have made the experience that it can be very difficult to learn the mother tongue, because often the right offer is missing. I felt that I could speak Vietnamese, but my reading and writing skills are not yet that good. Every time I held a Vietnamese textbook in my hand to learn by myself, I was very demotivated because the gap between my speaking and reading level was too big. At VLS the teachers respond perfectly to this difficulty and adapt to you 100%. I have already told many of my friends about my online lessons. It’s really great: although I’m here in Germany, I still have a connection to Vietnam every week and I am finally learning my mother tongue. I can really recommend VLS 1000%!
