BÃO means typhoon in English.
ĐI BÃO is used in a football-related situation only; means to join the crowd to “party” on the street to celebrate a victory gained by Vietnam national football team in the international either quarter-final or semi-final or final matches. The later match is won, the crazier “ĐI BÃO” is done.
Fact: Football is like a religion in Vietnam. Vietnam National Football team had not gained such a victory for a decade.
Ví dụ / For example:
1. Tối qua cả thành phố ĐI BÃO ăn mừng chiến thắng của bóng đá Việt Nam.
(Last night, the whole city ĐI BÃO to celebrate the victory of Vietnam football.
2.

B: Có. Đã lắm! Anh thấy vui lắm. Việt Nam vô địch! (Yes, I did. It was a blast. I immensely enjoyed it. Go Vietnam, Vietnam undefeatable!)
