This Mid-Autumn, join us at VLS to celebrate not only with light and flavor, but also with compassion. Through lantern-making, mooncake workshops, and our annual charity trip to Đồng Nai, you will experience Vietnamese traditions in the most hands-on, meaningful way – and together, we will bring joy to children in need.
Lantern-Making Workshop
Perhaps nothing embodies the spirit of Mid-Autumn more vividly than the glowing lanterns that light up the night. At our workshop, you’ll craft your own lantern with bamboo and colored cellophane, guided by our teachers.
For Vietnamese friends, it’s a return to childhood joy. For international participants, it’s a doorway into authentic culture. And for every participant, each lantern also means a donation to bring light to children in Đồng Nai.

Mooncake Workshop
Sweet, rich, and symbolic – mooncakes are the flavor of reunion. At our workshop, you’ll learn every step: kneading, filling, molding, and baking. By the end, you’ll carry home a box of 6 handmade mooncakes, beautifully packaged.
And each mooncake you create is more than a treat – it’s a gesture of kindness, ensuring children in Đồng Nai can also enjoy the festive sweetness.

Mid-Autumn Charity Trip – Đồng Nai
The heart of Moon of Compassion is our charity trip to Đồng Nai – where culture and compassion truly meet.
Over the years, we’ve carried out community projects that make a lasting impact, such as installing solar lights, providing clean water, and other environmental sustainability and local development initiatives.
At the same time, we’ve brought joy to children with lanterns, mooncakes, scholarships, and festive Mid-Autumn celebrations – from laughter-filled gatherings to plays like the tale of Chú Cuội and the Moon Lady.
