The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Children’s Festival, is a time of joy and anticipation, celebrated with lion dances, lantern parades, and mooncakes. Sadly, not everyone in cluster 5, hamlet 3, Mã Đà commune, Vĩnh Cửu district, Đồng Nai province, gets to enjoy these traditions. The locals are the one returning from Tonle Sap, Cambodia, face difficulties with little land, unstable jobs, mainly fishing, and irregular incomes. However, in 2023, Vietnamese Language Studies (VLS) stepped in to bring hope and positive change, celebrating the festival with the children and helping uplift the community.
To raise funds for the 2023 Mid-Autumn Charity Trip, VLS will organize a series of fundraising workshops that not only helped gather financial support but also encouraged participants to express their creativity and compassion.
