The Mid-Autumn Festival (Tet Trung Thu) in Vietnam holds deep cultural significance. During this cherished time, families gather to celebrate the full moon, share traditional mooncakes, and engage in various festive activities. Children parade with colorful lanterns, witness captivating lion dances, and immerse themselves in the warm atmosphere of this beloved occasion.
Regrettably, in Hamlet 2, Mã Đà Commune, Vĩnh Cửu District, Đồng Nai Province, residents persistently face substantial challenges arising from poverty exacerbated by geographical conditions. Moreover, inadequate waste management exacerbates environmental issues, adversely impacting both the local ecosystem and human health.
However, in 2024, Vietnamese Language Studies (VLS) stepped in to bring hope and positive change. VLS will host our annual charity trip on September to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with the children, uplifting the community and actively contributing to environmental protection.
